Environment4Us : programme details Impact : Ideals : Income
A fun in-depth full or half-day session with the emphasis on learning skills that will enable students to prosper in their personal lives and to open up possible science, or environmental-related career plans. This is ideal for yr 9, 10 and 11 students and has been written to complement the new Environmental and Land-Based Studies Diploma which comes into schools in 2009.The event is based around learning through doing, and includes a number of unique individual and team-based activities. The day covers positive thinking, career awareness, confidence building, personal presentation skills and tools that students can apply to all areas of their lives.

Case Study – Popular global brands: What is their philosophy / what do they do / how do they innovate. What is their approach to Impact:Ideals:Income?
Do One Thing Each– the GlobaLocal challenge. One Hour Team game with presentations to everyone
FISH4IT – Cod catching game – run as a full group event. Politics, environment, social, enterprise and employment – it’s all in here!
Food and Sustainability – What can YOU do?

Case Study examples: Other schools’ big ideas.
Sustainability – what does it mean? What could we do? Real-Life examples and how we can change for the better.
The RecyClothes Show! – is all fashion Garbage? We stage a fashion show that uses the ‘Wombles principle’ – we make use of what others’ throw out! SPARK-IT – using the Spark-It toolkit to make an environmentally friendly wardrobe for one of your team – male or female.
